Does Endocrine & Diabetes Plus accept Medicare?
Yes. We accept Original Medicare (Part B) and most Medicare Advantage plans at both our Sugar Land and Memorial City locations. Call our office at 832-968-7003 to confirm that your specific Medicare Advantage plan is in-network.
Does Medicare cover CGM devices for diabetes?
Yes. Medicare now covers CGMs for beneficiaries with diabetes who use insulin. Coverage includes Dexcom, Abbott Freestyle Libre, and other FDA-cleared CGMs. Our team assists with the necessary documentation and prior authorization to access these devices through Medicare Part B or D.
Do I need a referral for Medicare to see an endocrinologist?
Original Medicare does not require a referral to see a specialist. Some Medicare Advantage plans may require a referral from your primary care provider depending on your plan type. Contact your Medicare Advantage plan to verify.
What Medicare-covered services do you offer?
We provide Medicare-covered endocrinology services including diabetes management, thyroid evaluation, osteoporosis assessment with DEXA interpretation, adrenal and pituitary evaluation, hormone consultations, and FibroScan liver assessment when medically indicated. Preventive screenings such as annual diabetes monitoring are also covered under Medicare Part B.
